I imagined MoonBound centered around a whale swimming between the clouds and the stars as it would amidst the waves.
I see it as an ancient, tranquil force that has traversed the universe from long before our time. An immense and unchanging presence, moving through time without ever losing its calm.
The imagination of Terry Pratchett and Discworld accompanied me in this desire to create a sky governed by its own rules, where creatures become almost worlds unto themselves.
It is the kind of image I can easily imagine above a cradle: a benevolent presence watching in silence, inviting travel, dreams, and the imagination.
