What if the forest whispered to those who still know how to listen?
I imagined Whisper of the Forest by drawing from pagan and Norse folklore, where nature is never entirely silent. Trees, plants, and mushrooms can harbor ancient presences, invisible at first glance.
The creature that crosses this illustration was born from this idea. I imagine it as a forest spirit, as strange as it is familiar, which appears for a moment before disappearing again between the branches.
I do not know if it watches over this place or if it is simply one of its inhabitants. I like to think that the forest still keeps its secrets and that it only reveals them to those who take the time to look.
